Haha, no not them alas!
Don't know the last time you were in Iceland, but you might be able to afford a pint for the cost of a tattoo, probably not two. Last November they were 800ISK, in June they were 1200-1500 a pint. By this upcoming November probably more like 2000isk.
'Kin hell. Think last time I was there (a few years ago, admittedly), 800 Kr was the expensive end.
Ah, well, that's what the Vinbuðin's for, I suppose.
I wish, the duty free store is your salvation, the liquor stores have gotten insane as well, that near 100% alcohol tax is brutal. The kicker for us tourists is that the kronur is really strong, this was the first time in a great while that the ISK was less than 100 to the dollar. So it was reeeeaaaalllly expensive.
Bummer. Well, there's much to be said for sobriety, I suppose..
Though there's scope for a Sigur Rós themed tattoo in here; what about a large portrait on your chest of the Sigur Rós member of your choice looking horrified at the price of a six-pack of beer in the state-run off-licence?
I haven't noticed the cost of a pint going up tbh, it's always been around the 1000ISK mark (particularly when a lot of places suspend happy hours during airwaves, or you're looking for 'craft' rather than a pint of any old lager), However last year we noticed that the 1000isk cost us about £7.50, when on previous visits it had been <£5 making it eye watering (thanks Brexshite). So yeah as long as you're not getting a tattoo done in Iceland probably is cheaper, otherwise you might want to remortgage
I'll buy the pints if you get the brackets!! heheh.. And if you display them at the bar, I'll but a round to get that applause going...
Winter in Iceland, where ever the brackets are they're likely to stay covered.
Wee bit creepy
That's proper minging.
